Is StoreDev Hub affiliated with Shopify?
No. StoreDev Hub is an independent academy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc. "Shopify" is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
Do I need a Shopify store to read the academy?
No. Most posts are useful even if you're evaluating Shopify or learning before your first build. The Developer Help track in particular is designed to teach concepts, not just point at your admin.
How often do you publish?
New posts land most weeks. Major Shopify Editions trigger a flurry — expect a roundup post plus deeper dives on the changes that matter.
Is everything free?
Yes. Every guide is free to read. We don't paywall content, and we don't do "premium" tiers.
